Los Alamos National Laboratory Accelerated High Performance Computing (AHPC) Symposium

Los Alamos National Laboratory, a leading U.S. national security research institution, will host the Accelerated HPC Symposium during GTC 2012 and bring together world leaders in supercomputing to share knowledge and help solve the world's most crucial technology challenges. This event will be co-hosted by NVIDIA and is scheduled for Wednesday, May 16 and Thursday, May 17. Access to the symposium is included in a GTC Full Conference Pass.

SYMPOSIUM HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:

  • Learning how accelerator technologies can be leveraged in innovative ways to advance the state-of-the-art for simulations on large-scale systems
  • Establishing hardware and software requirements for designing systems that can meet the requirements of power, scalability and fault tolerance needed for the next generation of HPC
  • Understanding how legacy codes can be adapted to make use of modern computing architectures
  • Providing a forum for feedback to the vendor community to aid in the adoption of accelerator technologies
